Saboori-Deilami, Vafa, PhD

Vafa Saboori-Deilami, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and Director of the MS in Business Analytics Program at the Barowsky School of Business, Dominican University of California. He holds a PhD in Manufacturing and Technology Management from the University of Toledo, an MBA in Strategic Management, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
His teaching and research focus on healthcare operations, supply chain management, sustainability, and technological innovation. He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Services Marketing and Business Strategy and the Environment and has presented widely at national and international conferences. Before his academic career, Dr. Saboori worked as a project lead engineer in the oil and gas industry. He has been recognized with multiple awards for teaching, research, and service, including the Outstanding Scholar Award (2023–2024) and the Outstanding Teaching Award (2019–2020).
